About Low Carb Scripts

Low Carb Scripts provides practical courses designed to help doctors and other health professionals work more effectively and efficiently.

With a concise, curated, evidence-based curriculum, enriched by the insider knowledge of experienced medical educators, our courses help doctors restore work-life balance, improve patient outcomes, and rediscover the joy of medical practice.

In addition to offering time management and stress reduction programs, Low Carb Scripts specializes in teaching healthcare professionals how to easily and effectively prescribe low carbohydrate diets. We provide the tools and expertise needed to make these dietary interventions work within the time constraints of a primary care setting.

Dr Louise Phillips

MBBS (hons 1) FRACGP

Dr Louise Phillips is our lead educator and content director at Low Carb Scripts. As an Australian GP with a deep passion for medical education, doctors' well-being, and metabolic health, she brings over 20 years of experience in primary care.

Dr Phillips supervises GP registrars, teaches medical students as a Senior Lecturer at the University of Queensland, and serves as an External Clinical Teacher for the RACGP, coaching registrars in consultation skills. She is also a lecturer with the Nutrition Network and has been selected to the Scientific Committee for the Australasian Metabolic Health Society, where she is helping to educate health practitioners and develop regional metabolic guidelines.

Understanding the challenges of primary care, including its vast curriculum, time constraints, and the burden of chronic disease, Dr Phillips is dedicated to helping her colleagues achieve better life balance. She focuses on enhancing time management, providing actionable stress reduction strategies, and teaching the use of low carbohydrate nutrition to improve both patient health and personal well-being. While she is passionate about restoring patient health, she is equally committed to helping her fellow healthcare professionals thrive within often flawed health systems.

Having invested thousands of hours studying nutrition and metabolic disease, including completing a rigorous certification pathway with the Nutrition Network, Dr Phillips aims to offer practical, effective knowledge that can be quickly implemented in patient care.
